Tax Administrative Specialist (Temp) - Onsite in Ontario, CA
Schedule:
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Must be open to overtime during peak season
Assignment:
- Temporary role from January to May
Pay Rate:
- $26 - $32/hour (based on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Administrative Specialist to support our partners and accounting professionals during the busy tax season. This role involves processing and delivering tax returns, managing e-filing, and assisting with compliance for clients across the U.S. (approximately 300-400 clients).
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to partners and accounting staff
- Process and deliver tax returns and related documents
- Monitor and e-file tax returns, extensions, amended returns, payroll reports, 1099s, and W-2s
- Assist in resolving e-file rejections
- Maintain tax-related supplies and create tracking reports
- Set up new clients in billing and document management systems
- Perform other administrative duties as needed
Requirements
? Experience & Background
- Minimum 2+ years of public accounting experience (preferably 5+ years in a CPA firm)
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Familiarity with tax processes, e-filing, and compliance
? Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (including macros and VBA programming)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have experience with Lacerte and QuickBooks; CCH products a plus
